Not long purchased one of the 2/3 irons 2nd hand. I was looking for something a bit longer than my 4 iron (which carries 230 with a bit of run) as I can struggle hitting 'soft' shots with my 3 wood (which goes around the 280 mark... I'm a 3.2 handicap BTW).
1st impressions were good, although I will say the finish has faded, not that it bother me as the grooves are still fine, just letting people know. It sits well behind a ball, especially if you prefer the look and feel of an iron over a hybrid.
I hit a natural baby draw, and after 70 or 80 balls I'm averaging 251 carry with a lovely ball shape... The litmus test forme though as always wether I can fit a baby power fade, as its a shot I have always struggled with. 1st try and I ripped one 245 down the middle with a 5 yard fade... And have done over and over again... I have the recoil 780 f3 shaft, and it is so stable throughout the swing it really does allow you to hit the shot you want to hit.
I tried several other driving type irons (gapr low, p790 udi, titleist u500) and although some of them did go further, they were more difficult to strike properly (apart from the p790, but it's pretty expensive) and I had less consistent ball flights. The other bonus to the cobra is the adjustable loft, making it ideal in a wide variety of situations.
Overall, this is a great choice for a mid to low handicapper, and has now replaced my burner 5 wood in the bag

Recently I was in need of a club to fit in to the gap between my driver and 5 iron in my Cobra F8 set; which I love. I am a high handicapper who struggles with my driver distance (carry only about 210) and direction. I am also struggling with my once super reliable hybrid 3 and 4. However, I am hitting my new Cobra F8 irons phenomenally so I thought maybe I'll try the 3-4 King Utility Iron; being an iron, as opposed to a hybrid or fairway wood to slot in here. Today I took it out to the course and all I can say is I have a new favorite club in my bag. This thing is easy to hit long, straight (important) and just feels so good when you connect with it. I did opt to get my shaft a 1/2 inch shorter, so it's basically the same length of my 5 now since I struggle with the longer sticks. I am carrying this club 220 easy now. So in reality I've now got a club I hit better and farther than my driver. I think that's a good problem to have. I am loving this club right now and I know that once I get more time in with my driver it will still fit in to my original intention beautifully.

It is a fantastic club, it's quite forgiving compared to other driving irons on the market. Generally for the better player but for anyone that can strike the ball consistently well and doesn't get on with hybrids.

Awesome club, is a great option off the tee on short par 4s. Works well out of the fairway too. Playing it as a 2 iron can easily get 230 consistently with a nice ball flight. Definitely better than a 3/5 wood.

Let me start by say I'm a mid handicap player. And fear long irons. So I was kind of septical about buying this one. I mean it's a 2/3 iron , come on right. I got mine with regular flex shaft ( recoil something) lol. With a mid tour velvet grip.(black). Standard length. Now I waited a few days took about a week to get. But no worries on that end of it. I received it and got it out of the box and it was stunning. Kinda of a fat little head on it. Looks good at address and feels balanced. I went straight to the driving range and bought 2 buckets of balls. First couple of shots were off the toe and went about 130 yds and I thought I knew should not have made the purchase. I mean 3 iron what was I thinking. But I regrouped and remembered a video I watched the night before about hitting long irons. Not really changing my swing but making a few minor adjustments or tweaks. I started to rip it. And rip it straight with a baby fade. Wind was left to right about 10 to 12 so I might have been straighter then I thought. I hit a natural fade anyways so I was pleased. The more I got comfortable with it the more I began to crush it. Caring distance was about 210-215 yds. And when it landed it ran out quite a bit. I couldn't real tell how far. But I never saw it ran pass the 250 mark. I'll take that all day. I used a tee for most of the shots. I did hit about 20 balls off the ground and those had a lower ball flight and less distance but still straight and running out. It's a wonderful club/weapon. Can't wait to get it on the course in league night and watch the boys pay up!!

Great look and feel, lots of custom options and highly adjustable. Have 2 in the bag, with graphite shafts, replacing my 3 hybrid and long 4 iron. Needs headcovers

This is an awesome club, great off the deck and the tee. Not as long as some of the utlity irons I tried, but much straighter and a higher ball flight. Being able to adjust the loft is great, I can cover a much larger back from 195 - 225 with the same club.

I’m a high handicapper, so when I first tried using this, it was tough. After about 200 balls at the range, I can now hit this iron pretty straight consistently. If the fairway is narrow, I feel a lot more confident teeing off with this iron than my driver or 3 wood.

Bought the 2/3 utility with stiff aldila shaft. Club feels excellent, love the adjustability, and is straight and forgiving off the tee. However, the black finish started wearing off at the bottom within the first round. I only hit about 7 shots with it, and was not expecting it to wear so quickly. A bit dissapointed, considering the price.

The Forged Tec Black 4 irons have been back ordered for some time so I ordered the 5-G set and the Utility Iron instead. Contrary to what I thought , it is VERY hard to hit. I will say that if you hit it pure, the ball explodes off the face as if it were a driver. Hopefully more time with it will improve my perceived hit ability.

Awesome club. You can hit it low or high. Wish it came in a 17 degree option. I wonder if it can be bent 1 degree stronger

4 Handicapper here. Always had issues with hitting low irons off the tee as i'm using a pretty old set of tour irons. Decided to purchase the King Utility Black iron after trying a bunch of other fairway woods / hybrids / driving irons. Probably the best decision i've made in a while. Average 240 yds with this King Utility at 18.5 degrees. Was extremely easy to shape my shots, with 1 low stinger draw going 269 yards, dead center of the fairway. The worst i've done with this iron so far was a really high toe shot which went 220 yds with a draw.
The distance and forgiveness of this club is unreal. Do yourself a favor and try one of these. I've officially retired my 3-wood for this club.

I purchased this club with the stock graphite shaft in stiff.
This is a nice club. It flows well into my King pro mb/cb combo irons. The topline is thicker than my 4 iron, but it really doesn't bother me since the overall profile at address is pleasing.
One thing I noticed was that this club kind of whistles while I take practice swings, but I don't hear it when I take my actual swing. It doesn't really bother me, but I thought I'd let the peoples know.
The club feels pretty good and gives me a nice penetrating ball flight. I was able to hit it high and low as needed. The head feels stable through impact and the sweet spot is pretty generous.
I use this club interchangeably with my 5 wood.

Great club. AMT shaft is perfect for this type of iron. Easy to hit and forgiving in all types of lies. Flights higher than my hybrid so great into greens. Looks good at address and gives you confidence. The ability to change lofts is very nice. Opens up options in the bag to adjust gaps.
