Diego Velasquez Starting to Find His Stride on The Nationwide Tour
The newest member of the Cobra Golf team, Diego Velasquez, is beginning to find his comfort zone out on the Nationwide Tour. Velasquez, who was born in Bogota, Columbia, has two top three finishes on the Nationwide Tour this year in just three appearances. The former First Team All-American at Oregon State University shot rounds of 69-68-70-67 to finish in 16th place at last week’s Melwood Prince George’s County Open. Diego mentioned one of the keys to his success has been his driving with his new S3 driver. For the week, Diego averaged 311.4 off the tee and was tied for second in driving accuracy. His strong finish secured him a spot in this week’s Nationwide Event in Raleigh, NC. Here is a look into Diego’s bag and his preparations at the Rex Hospital Open.
