Yes, the torque wrench is the same.

Yes, the spin rate will be higher with the ZL vs. L5V at the same loft.

With that shaft at that length the swingweight should be D3 or D4. We don’t tip shafts - unless you specify in the custom order.

Yes, you can purchase replacement shafts through a Cobra retailer.  We’ll install the shaft with the correct hosel sleeve.  Sorry Nick, we don’t sell the hosel sleeve separately.

Scott,

We do carry the ProLaunch Platinum shaft as a custom option. The length can be made to whatever length you like. We supply the appropriate swingweight screw to try and maintain the D4 swignweight of the stock driver. However by taking the shaft down to 44”, we may not be able to get to D4. The custom department would do the best it could, but you might want to discuss it with your Cobra retailer when you get closer to making the purchase so they can contact Cobra and make sure everyone is on the same page.

Rob,

There are probably many different ZL/shaft combinations that would work for you. Rather than try and guess at them, we recommend you try to get to a demo event to demo some different shafts. Or better yet, get professionally fit. You won’t be sorry!

I would like to get the Cobra ZL driver, but I was thinking of getting it cut down to 44.5 or 44. I’ve read here that I can not have the club cut down this short due to the swingweight. How heavy of a shaft would I have to have installed to maintain a swingweight of D2-D4? Also would Installing a heavier shaft decrease the feel of the club head? Do the custom shafts come in 46” as a standard? Does trimming the shaft change it’s playing charactoristics?

Hi

please can you let me know what the catalogue shaft options are for the ZL driver in the UK.  I have just bought a ZL but would like a second shaft to switch between?  Cannot seem to get an answer here?

I currently use the Speed Pro S in 9.5 loft.  What is the face angle on this?

Also, the Matrix Ozik XCon-5 shaft seems to have the specs I’m looking for.  What are the recommended swing speeds for stiff and regular flexes played at 45” lenth?

Thanks.

I have just purchased a ZL Driver, is it possible to order replacement shafts?  Can you buy the sleeve seperatley so I can custom fit with a ACCRA???  Not worried about warranty issues.  :o)

what is the difference between the new s2-driver and the new zl-driver?

Your answer doesn’t make sense to me.  Don’t get me wrong, I am a Cobra fan.  Had a Cobra F Speed for 4 years, just bought my ZL, and used it the first time.  The improvement to my carry distance was obvious and immediate and 30-50 yards, and my control was better, and in short order, I loved the club.  However, after about 20 drives, all with a tendency to be left, I decided to open the club face using the AFT adjustment.  Not having experimented with it before, I was surprised to find that approximately 1/3 turn of the shaft was the only option.  That doesn’t compute when I am looking for a consistent only 2-3 degrees of “openness.”  If we are just rotating the shaft, and then rotating the whole club back to have the sole lay flat, we have done nothing that we couldn’t have done by simply changing our grip position ever so slightly, and, by rotating the shaft 1/3 turn, we are taking away the grip logo which can be used as a position reference.  What am I missing?  And by the way, I went back to my local Golfsmith, and they had a lot of trouble coming up with an answer, and when they did, it didn’t make sense, and was mechanically impossible.

Anxiously awaiting your reply.

Got my Zero Limit yesterday and it looks good.
But the driver is very heavy 45 inch GD YSQ 75 and 10 gram screw and the shaft plays like it wasn´t tipped.

You stated here that the driver head is 450cc, however on the Driver specifications page it says 460cc.

Which is correct?

I am interested in the spin rates comparing the new ZL driver with the L5V.  A fitter told me the spin rates are higher withe the ZL.  Can anyone shed any light on this.

I have picked up a used ZL and am contemplating getting a new shaft for it.  Will it be made to my specs in terms of length.  I am looking at the Prolaunch Platinum in Regular and would like it to play to 44inches.

Thanks,

Scott
