The Grafalloy Project X graphite shaft that Camilo plays in his hybrid is a prototype and one of a couple of versions True Temper brought to the Tour.  They are close to releasing the shaft to retail as the final graphics are being decided upon.

Camilo’s driver shaft is the Matrix TP7 and is painted white by Matrix (normally dark blue) because they want to strongly promote their most current line of shafts for ‘09, the HD series, which are all white.  They painted their TP shafts white this year to look like the HD’s to help maximize exposure of their newest shaft.

Why hasn’t true temper let the public buy the shafts that Camilo has on his hybrid?  Also, his driver shaft is white, but the shaft that Matrix provides is actually a darker color.  Why is this?

Camilo plays the F Speed fairways woods because they provide better launch conditions for him. The F Speed product tends to launch higher and spin more then the S9-1 Pro which allows Camilo to be very aggressive in his angle of attack with his fairway woods and control the trajectory.

The hybrid in the bag is the 909H 24 degree with the True Temper XHC1 graphite hybrid shaft.

I took a picture of the Baffler Pro 23 degree in his bag at the Honda where he was testing both the Cobra and Titleist, looking for something that would go the same distance as his 3 iron, 225 yard, but much higher.  He felt he didn’t hit the 3 iron high enough and was at a significant disadvantage to other players on the PGA Tour who could hit long irons high and soft.

Why doesn’t Camilo play the pro fairway woods? How are his F Speeds different from the retail models?

Geoff moved into the S9-1 Pro D 10.5 because he wants to feel like he can stay on top of the golf ball with his upper body during the swing.  He does not want to feel the need to keep his weight behind the ball to ‘help it up.’  The 10.5 helps him launch the ball higher without feeling like he needs to change his swing.

Camilo played a L4V 9.0 with an actual loft of 10.3 before switching to the S9-1 Pro S 10.5.  Although his ball speed is over 170 mph and he launches it nice and high, he does not spin the ball enough with the driver so the loft helps increase his spin to 2400 rpm’s giving him an optimal ball flight.

I saw Camilo put a new hybrid in the bag, what are the specifics on it(shaft, loft, ect.)? Thanks.

I noticed Camillo and Geoff have switched to the new S9-1 Pro S and D drivers.  Just wanted to know why they are using more loft (10.5 degrees) with the new drivers compared to their previous drivers?
