Where can I buy one of those Cobra fitted millitary caps that camilo always wears now?
Chris Tuten
Hi everybody. I just got back after a great week in England. I arrived on Friday morning and played the next 3 days with Geoff Ogilvy, his trainer Steve Adams, and Jim Curran, the Scotty Cameron rep on tour. We played Formby, Royal Liverpool, and West Lancashire. It is a real treat to play such great courses with good friends. Lots of laughs and lost balls in the deep rough. Then it was on to Birkdale. The course is exceptional, maybe the best conditioned course I have seen at The Open. I walked practice rounds with all of our players. They all seemed to be playing well, it just is the luck of the draw to see what kind of weather you get. The only changes made were 2 irons by J.B. and Ian and stocking hats for all. People always ask me what is my favorite event of the year, and the answer is always the same. It’s The Open Championship. I hope you all enjoyed my photos. Please come back every week to see what we have been up to on tour.

Fairly standard for the Open Championship.

Looks a little chilly ...

The netting does not make much difference. Everyday of the tournament the tees are in different locations so the distances are never the same. The players rely on their distance books to pin point the distance on every shot.

We only make a limited supply of those bags. Usually just enough for our PGA Tour staff to use in the majors.

Chris, I’d wager you have the best job ever besides the players. GL to Geoff and Milo and rest of Cobra staff. Curious about one thing: I’ve noticed during the practice rounds they have that netting on the tee boxes to protect them for the week. Obviously that affects the yardage each player faces on their tee shots. How do they compensate for this come tournament time? Lastly, is there any where I can see the Cobra staff’s schedule for the rest of the year?

Those are the best bags you’ve had out yet. Any chance of those bags and headcovers coming to retail?
