JB sweeps awards at Tavistock Cup

Mar 26, 2008 - 03:52 PM
tavistock_front.jpgIsleworth reclaimed the Tavistock Cup on Tuesday, topping Lake Nona, 19 1/2 - 11 1/2 in golf's battle between Florida country clubs. It was the play of Tavistock Cup rookie that stole the show. JB won the longest drive with a poke of 327 yards, netting him $10,000. He also won the closest to the pin with a 223 yard shot to 1.5 feet. That won a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid. Finally JB held off Ian Poulter for the Payne Stewart Salver Award for low round of the day today with a round of 4 under par 68. He beat Ian Poulter by 1 stroke and won $500,000. Don't be too sad for Ian, he won $300,000 for finishing second. Not a bad few days of golf for our Cobra Staff this week.
