Serial Numbers

Where is the serial number on my golf club?

On stock irons, the serial number is found on the 6 iron only - generally (but not always) it is 5 digits and made up of both numbers and letters. On custom irons, the serial number can be found on the hosel of every club. See image above for guidelines on where to find your serial number.

What if my club does not have a serial number?

No need to panic! Clubs do go out occasionally without a serial number, and as long as you purchased your club at an authorized COBRA dealer, you should have no concerns about whether your club has a serial number or not. If the product you are registering does not have a serial number, just enter the product's style number or provide a short description of the product. Like all major purchases, it is a good idea to keep a copy of your purchase receipt in the event that a service request is needed.

Authentication

How do I know if my clubs are authentic and not counterfeit?
Counterfeiting clubs is a very big business and something that affects all the major golf manufacturers. With that said, there are several things you can do to protect yourself.

    • The best way to ensure that you own an authentic COBRA product is to purchase it at an authorized COBRA dealer. If you purchase it second hand, from an auction website or through some other unauthorized retailer, we can not confirm the authenticity of that COBRA product without a visual inspection. You can find your nearest authorized COBRA dealer here.
    • On COBRA clubs made since 2011, we have added a holographic security sticker on the shaft, just below the grip. If you bought an individual club (one driver, one hybrid, etc.) you will have sticker on it. If you purchase a set of irons, the sticker will be found on the 6 iron only. You will not find a sticker on replacement shafts that were ordered at a later date - just on the original club.

  • If you still suspect you have a counterfeit club, or you want to ensure that your club is authentic, you are welcome to set up a visual inspection through our Customer Care Team. Just call us at (800) 917-3300.
