Wow!!! I just sold my set of Taylormade burners and had my heart set on the
new R11 irons. I had hit the R11 demo on the range and was 95% set on those
being my new set for spring until I went to Dick’s and saw the Cobra AMP
irons. I decided to give them a try and OMG they are the best irons I have
had in my hands period. The feel was awesome and I love the orange grips. I
got more yards and they were so easy to hit. I want to order them now but
the golf pro at my local shop says wait till demo day at the end of March
and compare the two…not sure if I can wait these clubs are awesome I am
active Army and would like to be the man on post to have these first!!!!
Awesome Irons.

I tried these clubs out at Golf Smith and loved the feel. After one week of range time, I have them dialed in. Even on a missed hit the distance is great! The weight and feel of a shot is also great. These irons look great all around. I didn’t mind the orange grips but I had to re-grip due to my big hands. These irons have made me a believer of the Cobra Golf irons.

I hit this club today along with several others. My swing was off due to NE winters, but even so this club had the best results for a bad swing. Can’t wait to hit them after I’ve been to the range a few times.
What shaft options are going to be available? KBS, Project X…......? Could you send me a custom list.

Hi Dbogolf,
Thanks for the comment. We love the enthusiasm that comes from our fans in the colder climates like New England and Canada! Just for your own information, the shaft options are shown above in the “Shaft Specifications box” - on the top-right there is a button. But to make it easier, you can click here:

Looks great!! Cobra fans, it looks to be an awesome year for Cobra Golf. I am so pumped about the new AMP irons and Fowler representing Cobra on the Tour. I am still getting use out of my S3 pro’s, but am itching to try the new irons. Get pumped!!!!!!

I hit the new AMP irons today at Dicks Sporting goods. Nice feel in the club and the hit. I had a real issue with the orange handle in my view looking down at the ball. My hits were off, that was nearly a dozen of hits. I grabbed a Callaway Razor X iron and it was much better. To me, the orange handle in my eye sight was the distraction. Offer a black grip on the handle and you might just sell more of these. I am seriously looking into the X-Irons from Callaway.

Hi jblo44,
Thanks for the comment. Grips are a very personal thing - they are where the player makes direct contact with the club and it is a good indicator of the quality and detail that is put into that product. Some manufacturers try to save money by offering cheap, low-quality grips on their stock shafts, but we have made the very conscious decision to use premium grips for our stock clubs. We understand the orange may not be for everyone, which is why you are welcome to order clubs through our custom department with a variety of other grips. Depending on which one, many (though not all) are supplied at no extra upcharge. You can see our grip offering here:

Hope that helps - have fun on the course!

I hear it’s better than the S3, do like the orange and black and still not too sure of the orange handle?? Wish you would have gone black even with orange dashes running down the club. If I buy this club, the grips will be re done costing me more? Add an alternative grip, please! I was going to buy the S3 irons last yr and with a injury on my right hand missed the season. I own the S2 Max they are okay but looking for an upgrade. I called your 800# on 1/11 and talked to Zach(?) and we discussed this and more. Great call with him, Cobra I am a 100% fan… it’s the grip! LOL
