GOLF PERSONALITY DAVID FEHERTY JOINS COBRA GOLF AS SPOKESMAN

Golfs Ultimate Wiseguy to Promote King Cobra SZ Driver Line in New Television Campaign

CARLSBAD, CA (March 2, 2004) David Feherty, whose unique and colorful approach to golf broadcasting is appreciated by golf fans worldwide, has signed on with Cobra Golf and will be featured in a series of two Cobra Golf television advertisements promoting the new King Cobra SZ driver line.

Affectionately nicknamed Golfs Ultimate Wise Guy for his quick wit and irreverent personality, Fehertys personality emerges in the 30-second spots entitled Nice Ball and Too Far. Cobras new SZ driver technology is the focus of the ads, reinforcing the primary benefits of longer and straighter drives from all nine points across the clubface.

The 2004 ad campaign premiers on www.cobragolf.com in conjunction with the web sites re-launch on February 27. It begins airing on national television on March 20 during the PGA Tours Bay Hill Invitational. The ads were conceived and produced via vitrorobertson in San Diego.

Cobra Golf is among the fastest growing golf club brands in the industry, increasing its metal woods market share from 3.1% year end 2001 to 12.1% year end 2003*, an increase of 9 percentage points. Irons market share increased from 2.6% year end 2001 to 6.8% year end 2003, an increase of 4.2 percentage points.

Our mission is to make the game more enjoyable for golfers by offering quality, performance and innovative technology-based products at a fair price, comments Jeff Harmet, General Manager, Cobra. We design golf clubs for the average, avid golfer, with performance goals of distance, greater accuracy and forgiveness. The new television campaign showcases these performance attributes and David Feherty adds credibility to the message in his own unique and memorable way.

Born in Northern Ireland, Feherty enjoyed a very successful professional career, with 10 victories worldwide and over $3 million in prize money, primarily playing on the PGA European Tour. He was a member of the 1991 European Ryder Cup team. In 1997, David retired from professional golf when offered a position as a golf commentator for CBS Sports. Davids success extends beyond broadcasting. He is an accomplished author and golf columnist, and makes appearances at various clinics and outings around the world. In all of his work, Davids goal is to encourage people to remember that golf is fun. I want to entertain people. If I cant make them laugh, I want to make them smile. I am proud to be associated with the Cobra brand and I believe these new television ads will break through the clutter and impart the important message of how great the product really is.
